This summer’s blockbuster movies are just about over and I have seen 2 out of the 4: Star trek and transformers 2. The others, Harry Potter, and Terminator 4, Im not in a huge race to go see. For one reason, It may come as a shock to some of you, But I disliked TF2 ROTF and it seems that terminator 2 was a wash according to Rotten-tomatoes.com . What i’d like to know is, what was everyones opinion about that robot movies that showed recently? Did you like them or hate them? What would you have liked to see?

I liked Transformers 2. Lots of robots and robot action. I’ve seen it 4 times and I plan on a fifth time before it leaves theaters and go to DVD.
I enjoyed TF2 a lot, but part of that was because I knew the entire plot beforehand and it was simply everything I was expecting from the movie. I still wish that they had characterized the robots a bit more, and it would be nice if there had been less humping and “wrecking balls”, but if you wanted to just watch robots fight eachother it was a great movie. I think it’s going to be one of those love or hate films.
I haven’t seen Terminator yet, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever bother…
And how are podcasts? Is it just a bunch of people talking on a subject? What are they generally like? *owns an ipod but has never listened to one*
Yeah, I was sorely disappointed with ROTF. :<
Personally I think people are being too hard on TF: RoTF. Could it have been better, YES. But it wasnt horrible on the scale of Spiderman 2 & 3, and I liked it. Im with Schmedderling in thinking that they should have had more character development for the transformers. Especially Bumbelbee, as they bareley touched on the relationship between Sam and Bee (not talking romantic
), like WHY Bee is sticking with sam in the first place besides as a guard and their friendship.
The ‘Autobot Twins’ should have been scrapped all together and instead introduce the new known characters like RC and Sideswipe. Im not saying this because of the ‘racist robots’ bull going around, just because the characters were horrible. Personally I was disappointed when there was no team-up of one of the RC’s as a protector and Sam’s girlfriend (a bike nut), again more character development that would have been interesting instead of twin retards.
The movie was good except for those two huge things. No robot character development, and the inclusion of the twin mistakes.
Terminator was ok, and I dont have as much to say on this as TF. My only major beef with the movie came at the end with something that made me want to beat the writer responsible senseless. To anyone who has seen it, the corney ending/final line should speak for itself.
schmedder: Podcasts are great, you can download them for free through itunes And its like the best talk radio you can listen to. that is, if your a big talk radio or science show or NPR fan.
Whoa, someone else listens to CarTalk! Haha.
Yep! listen to a couple of new ones these days too. I should update my list.
