Notes: Baboon guy got his spine broken so when fellow soldiers stopped carrying him, he simply fell over. It’s a little bit harder to put down the intelligent devils. Kinda like zombies, you have to destroy the heart and/or brain. You can always use silver, but the mashina can’t even touch it themselves.
I’m sort of running afoul of my own rule not to do pages without scripts but this one particular scene is being done without my editor Jason. If the dialogue is disjointed or misspelled let me know. I also decided to put this as a placeholder for me to access on my phone at work so I can script the next page. (Smart phones are handy)
Notes: You get to see the baboontaur guy here; the one Jet failed to kill. He’s being rescued by a sand devil recon group. The goat-girl at the bottom we will see a lot more of in coming pages.
Note: Lots of dead people. I probably didn’t do a very good job of portraying scale in the last panel but The Devil’s are all sizes even the size of mashina. So most of the “higher ups” are fairly on par, they make the smaller lesser intelligent ones do the heavy lifting.
Notes: This is the last page of the year, And I’m going to be going on hiatus to write the last half of the script for book 8 (shouldn’t take too long) Marry Xmas to everyone.
On this page page I thought I might troll myself a little. The moral of the page is kinda “Oh well, Its all fantasy anyway.” Also, It is physically impossible for Ennesix to use nun-chucks. He could never get them around his twin arm engines.
In the last panel I copied and pasted the ‘flying carpet battle Norns” from book 4, But the shading and drawing style I used over 200 pages ago is significantly different..almost hard to look at.
notes: Lyron half-heartedly agrees to work for the benefit of Edenworld, even if its not forever.
Even transformerd Jet is still comperable in size to Lyron, But Jet is artificially strong can carry Lyron through the air as a mobility assist if Lyron uses his leg jets in the process.
This is the end of script 8A. I have an intermission page planned next, but In the meantime I’ll need to prepare the last half of this book’s script. Get ready for more Guardias and the enemy forces to show.
Notes: Had to retool Jet’s Alt mode. It looked terrible back in book 6 : http://www.edenworldsaga.com/webcomic/edenworld/921 as allways, The charecters keep evolving the more I keep drawing them. Jet was allways suposed to look like a generic aircraft-like thing without actually being one, but I think I may have it down better this time. Decided to devote a panel for info dump eventhough I try not to this very often.
Lyron just wants to be left alone, he cant catch a break. I thought it might be fun to continue the last part of this scene with Lyron conversing with jet in his high mobility form since we haven’t seen it very often.
.. man, I really want to fix that old page.
I know I said I’d stop posting pages unfinished but Ive just been so bussey with the holidays i felt I had to post something. So here.. This page is about as “talking heads” as it gets.
Notes: 2 more pages till end of mid script. Lyron just wants to be left alone but that Ambivalent guardia from earlier starts talking to him. Ultimately he ends up passing through a small hole in the bridge and onward.
Notes: Here’s that Back shot of Lyron I was mumbling about in the previous post. All these pages are thumb nailed out in advance, but I’m hugely paranoid that I may be composing too many scenes the same way unconsciously. I abhor “talking head comics” you see, pages where people are clearly too lazy to compose an interesting camera angle or a background drawing, scenes being recycled over and over again. With the more pages being created I venture that it’l be impossible to not fall into doing some of the above things I Dislike.
Btw, the girl with the horns? It’s just a tiara, shes not an oni or anything.
So, Sorry everyone, I know it’s been about 3 weeks. My only excuse really is that Fallout: Newvegas ate my soul and Now I’m back with a new page for you. Also, I’ve made some hefty changes to the script from here on to the middle break. If some of the diologue has spelling errors please give me a note.
P.S. Still not the slowest comic online.*
Notes: I had intended to show Lyron’s back boosters in better detail seeing as I never seem to draw them the same way twice. This will have to wait till the next page where Lyron meets the the Ambivelent guardia. Holy would like Lyron on his team, But he does not really understand what sort of crazyness he caught sight of.
