Notes: I showed this page prematurely to Rozbot and she died laughing. I asked her what was so funny and she told me “Omg It’s Card Crusher!”. I was vuague on the details of who or what that was so I visited encyclopedia dramatica and what I found was oddly hilarious. here is a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LauaI21uFgY

The big deal is that the japanese guy in the video crushes a buissness card, and that is one of the HUGEST insults you could give to anouther japanese person (if he gives you the card thats crushed). In this case the buissness card is a bullet.. and lyron does the pose. Anyway this page was coincidental.

If you guys didnt know, he caught the bullet- hes tired of being of being shot.

* Lyron, not happy with being shot, lunges off the building and lands on  top of Jet the White.  “A head-shot not enough?” It seems Jet might have to try again with this enemy (Lyron on the other hand is holding back his standard weapons).

This page was kind of a pain in the ass to tone, so forgive me if you need 20/20 vision to see all the details.

Update: Yesterday I ended up re-editing page 40 because it bothered me that I drew Jet looking like a dumpy midget with bad proportions on a full body shot. Basically, Jet is mostly nose cone and wings. He’s top heavy, but his tail helps balance his stance.

Also: Fan art page has been updated. If you visited that tab and it wasn’t there before, it’s up now.

Finally, Now that I’ve started drawing Jet a bit more, I find that drawing his wings is the most complicated part and that I’ve really half-assed it a lot on past pages. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to people that I make up a ton of this as I go along, but most of those things I fudge are fine mechanical details. For instance: When I started designing the main characters I had a “vague to general” understanding of their looks/weapons/transformations. The toughest part about drawing Lyron is when he uses his arm gatlings and his arm blades, simply because I never finalized those designs like you’d see in an anime art book. So every time I draw them they can look wildly different from page to page. I hope the more I’m forced to draw those things, the faster I’ll come to a conclusion about what they should look like and how they function. Thankfully, doing the comic in pencil has proved very forgiving and I might continue to evolve these mecha people till the bitter end.

As for this page, I wouldn’t say Lyron is *mad*… but I’d say six books-worth of him being attacked has left him pretty pissed off at people who point weapons first and ask questions later without so much as an introduction. But Jet has some tricks up his iron sleeve…

Lyron moves up the wall quick like Jackie Chan.
